HSE Manager
Location: Nigeria and Benin Republic

Job Summary:
The HSE Manager shall develop, maintain, and ensure the implementation of all Health, Safety and Environment standards to ensure a safe and low risk business environment and all related activities.

Job Responsibilities:
• Improve, implement and drive company safety culture across all divisions of operations.
• Ensuring that processes needed for the Management System are established, implemented and maintained.
• Monitor incidents, enforce safety procedures and standards, make regular workplace visits, and send detailed reports on project safety performance to appropriate authority.
• Ensuring the promotion of awareness of stakeholder requirements throughout the organization.
• Conduct internal Audit of the system at regular intervals.
• Formulation and Implementation of policies and procedures for system improvement.
• Provide advice to management of HSE legislation and compliance obligation.
• Promote the company’s HSE policy by ensuring staff awareness and creating a learning environment that embraces the principles of involvement and participation by all employees.
• Establishing that HSE Management objectives are set and achieved.

Requirements and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years’ similar experience in the telecommunication space
• NEBOSH or IOSH professional certification is strictly required.
• Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation by using HSE Auditing Techniques
• Strong people management skills.
