Once the 26 or 27 Assembly members impeach him, the FG will withdraws
the security agencies from him, what is left is Fubara on the streets. He may even be arrested for imaginary one trillion dollars corruption and flown to Abuja. If you like, you can kill yourselves in Rivers, it won't get to Aso Rock.
If this scenario happens, that might signify the beginning of the end of democracy in Nigeria, if not Nigeria itself. That would have been a direct affront on the constitution. Tinubu would have exercise dictatorial powers outside the constitution. The courts would have been dragged further into the mess, with conficting purchased injunction up and down. The whole of the Niger delta would have been up in flames, as the Ijaws would take the matter as an insult to its tribe.
It's a pity Fubara chickened out, he was not ready to put himself at risk.

Ps. The situation is still not resolved, as I don't see Fubara implementing the 7 items on the so called peace agreement. I don't see him reinstating the resigned commissioners loyal to Wike. There is no way Fubara can work with commissioners who clearly stated they can't take orders from him.
So I expect us to be back to square one within a very short time.

So in your view, Tinubu is same as Buhari.

In his first 30 minutes in office, he hasn't even gotten to his office, so in his first 30 minutes after swearing in, he stopped the generational fraudulent fuel subsidy. Something Sani Abacha, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Olusegun Obasanjo, Musa Yar'Adua, Goatluck Jonathan, and Buhari couldn't stop for more than 30 years because of the Mafia.

Jagaban Borgu the City Boy Extraordinaire, the Head of the Mafia in Africa stopped it in less than 30 minutes. You are not putting him in the class of the other clowns

Buhari stopped subsidy by June, As events wouldn’t allow him to be president by that time, Tinubu had to announce it. Because provision was not meant for Subsidy after May. How would Tinubu run it since there was no provision for it in the budget. So he (Tinubu) had no choice.

Dey play. Governor Fubara is winning the war hard

UPDATED: Fubara, Peter Odili, Refused To Sign 8 Points Resolution As Purported Agreement Favours Wike

Fubara, Peter Odili, refused to sign 8 points resolution as purported agreement favours Wike . A peace meeting convened at the Aso Rock Villa involving Governor Siminalayi Fubara, alongside former Governor Peter Odili, failed to culminate in the signing of eight crucial resolutions, further intensifying the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State. The gathering, which had President Bola Ahmed Tinubu present, aimed to address the escalating crisis but ended without the expected consensus.
NEWS WEEK NIGERIA had earlier reported that one of the eight points agreements reportedly signed by Fubara and Peter Odili was the recognition of the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by the Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule, alongside the 27 members who resigned from the PDP.
However, emerging details reveal a discord in the agreements of these critical resolutions. Contradicting these purported agreements, the Special Adviser on Media to the Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Engr. Boma Precious Kalama denounced the circulated resolutions as false. Advertisements Read The 8-Point Resolution Signed By Fubara & Wike To End Rivers Political Crisis During Meeting With Tinubu . According to Engr. Kalama’s official Facebook statement, Governor Fubara’s alleged signature on the agreement, was deemed fake. Urging Governor Fubara’s supporters to remain focused, Engr. Kalama dismissed the authenticity of the documents circulated on both traditional and social media platforms. Advertisements Engr. Kalama highlighted discrepancies in the documentation, pointing out the absence of key signatures, including that of former Governor Peter Odili and Rt Hon Ehie Edison, the speaker. The sudden change in pen colour used by Governor Fubara, from his typical red to black, further exposed the legitimacy of the purported agreement. He wrote: Advertisements “See eh! Desperation eh! Is a bad thing oh! So the president didn’t sign as a witness of the MOU reached? One of the big shoe who was present in the meeting Dr Peter Odili didn’t sign.” “Rt Hon Ehie Edison, Speaker didn’t sign to affirm that he agrees to the resolution reached?. The Governor who uses red pen all of a sudden used a black pen. And when did Gov Sim talk about not doing LGA election?” “A democratically elected Governor should represent the budget to Non-Assembly members as said on the constitution. The signature of the governor is FAKE. Whosoever did, this Photoshop did a poor job and should be arrested and money returned.” Advertisements “Dear Gov Sim Fubara’s supporters do not buy this RUBBISH. I am telling you from a place of authority that this alternative toilet paper is FAKE, RUBBISH, and typed at UST back gate.”

Efcc can't investigate a sitting governor. He has immunity while in office. Tinubu can't do much except orchestrate his impeachment behind the scene using the Rivers state law makers, or he can just use the compromised court of law to remove him.

The issue would have been very messy, and the conflict would have shifted from a fight between Wike and Fubara to between Tinubu and Fubara.
Tinubu and Wike would have won in the short run, but they would have lost out (along with Nigeria as a whole) in the long run. A conflict in the Niger delta would affect oil prices world wide.

Is it not same Ijaw that Tinubu pushed out of power in federal as ordinary non state actor, and in which nothing happened. Or which ijaw you are saying?

Not even when that same Tinubu now occupied all the executive power.

Buhari played neutral. Buhari's cabal supported Obaseki because they were against Oshomole whom they believed was working for Tinubu then.

Obaseki no fit tryam now.... just watch how easy APC will capture Edo next year.

You guys just make stupendous claims. It was not Tinubu that push Jonathan out of power, but myriad of Nigerians, including many Ijaws and Niger Deltans. Tinubu supported Jonathan in 2011 but supported buhari in 2015. That's just politics. The Ijaws as a people never begrudged Tinubu for it. The igbos begrudge Tinubu, but never the ijaws.

Not even when that same Tinubu now occupied all the executive power.
Executive powers has limits. It does not include the threatening of a sitting governor.

You guys would just be making urself happy by way of hallucinations.

Let's wait and see. The solution is not yet resolved. Tinubu might still need to exercise that executive power you gave him to remove Fubara from office.

dey play 🤔🤔. Sim Fubara will never be removed in Rivers State. Rivers State is 100.% peaceful, so no form of declaring State of emergency. Tinubu will just be distracting himself more by issuing threat that will never hold any water. Governor Fubara have signed the passed budget and the government continues.
if the house of assembly continues to have different sittings, the NASS will take over. Even the demolition of the assembly is enough to declare state of emergency. You think you have more info than Peter Odili who advised Sim to accept the resolution.Odili knows how brutal a president can be if he decides to wield his powers. beginning of which end

Childish empty and impotent talk.

Is it you that will end Nigeria or your family members?

As long as Fubara does not have the support of the legislators he is empty

Every other person in his situation that has succeeeded has controlled the legislators

All those criminal actions like bulldozing the House of Assembly and presenting budget to 5 members of Assembly show he is not in charge
Those actions are treason

Adaka Boro was killed Nigeria did not end
Saro Wiwa was killed Nothing happened
Umuechem was razed Nigeria is still here
Odi was levelled Nothing happened
Alamisiegha was removed the sky is still up ther
Alamiesigha was removed
Nigeria did not scatter

Stop all this noise

I don't think you people realize the seriousness of the criminality of bulldozing the State House
Bottom line Tinubu

GAVE HIM DIRECTIVES

That word directive used in the press was not a Mistake

It was a message to people like you

If Fubara did not comply You will see him paraded in handcuffs with blood on his mouth

I do not think you realize how powerful the Federal Government of Nigeria is

I am sure Tinu will not release any money to him to operate that budget

Most of the people condemning the President's intervention are ignorant of the fact that Fubara was saved from impeachment in the first place because the President asked Wike to stop.

Fubara knows that and the more than 100 persons in that meeting know that Wike would eventually impeach Fubara if the President does not intervene.

Fubara incurred the wrath of the President by demolishing the House of Assemby complex. The President said it was a desecration of democracy, and he is correct. I think Fubara lost some sympathy from the President by that action. That might have contributed to the one-sidedness of the agreement.

The terms of the agreement will be too humiliating for the Governor to implement. I predict any of two things to happen:
1. The Governor would go against the agreement and continue to fight till he is eventually removed by Wike with presidential backing.
2. The Governor will tender his resignation.
I laughed at your post, are you aware that the governor was elected and not appointed by president (and try to flashback to tinubu vs obj saga 1999) believe me if I'm fubara will be brutal with power so much that Tinubu by now will be eyeing me in place of wike in his next election come 2027.
