At the early hours of 1:52 am today eyewitness observed the gun battle between the militants and the Nigerian army which held around Akpabuyo water ways which leads down to esuk ATU community through satellite town. It was a severe gun battle for about hours till 6am. As about 5:47am the Nigerian army did not relent as they chased the assailants continuously exchanging fire at each other around the river.
We pray and hope that our gallant soldiers are safe and hope they succeed in tracking them. down! No news about casualties at the moment, we hope to send updated information sooner.

We can all use our brains and come to the dialogue table. It is total stupidity and cowardice for the government and security agencies not to call for a peace meeting with the warring group.
