Congratulations to her
However, she neither creates wealth nor is she an entrepreneur. She is a government made billionaires like otedola, danjuma etc

We should encourage wealth creators and thinkers like Innocent Chukwuma, Cosmas maduka, Elumelu etc

You Ibos must hate and spill venom.

What is your definition of entrepreneur?

If it’s that easy for government to just make someone richest women in Africa, why did Obasanjo not make his own wife richest? Abi he detest wealth? Same Obasanjo that almost took all Alakija stake which led to their fight. Check the vanguard screenshot you shared, Obasanjo said he created. 25 billionaires in Nigeria just as a comebacks to get back at Alakija for frustrating her company stake while lying under some mining license issue. Obasanjo and Alakija were never friends.

Same Innoson who is a scammer whose business depend 99% of government patronage. How much is both cozmos Maduka and Innoson worth? Their money collectively is change when you talk about Alakija.

Without government patronage, Innoson is just a showroom. How many private individuals are buying his car? He even get more government help than Alakija.

That lady and Mike Adenuga just like lowkey stuffs.

Even for a very rich woman, she is somehow modest and move without too much paparazzi.

Some people will just declare any of their Tribesmen spraying 1000 nairas in club billionaire but we will never see the name of forbe list.

Even their richest ARTHUR EZE never featured!

There is also one woman called Bimbo Alase, she is currently the third Nigerian on the top 15 richest women in Africa.

We hardly hear about her too.

But a particular tribe will release their own list of richest African tribe and put themselves on number 1 but their names will dissappear on Forbes list

Yorubas are everywhere at the top, but very quiet with there achievement.

I am an international recruiter/HR manager, and I have been using calendly for years. In 2018, I was like let me check the owner of this company. Guess what, he is Yoruba, and he is very quiet.

Calendly is worth $3billion, yet the owner is not online bragging or showing off.

Trust me, the Yorubas are certainly a different breed, and yeaa, the most sophisticated.

Just something to note. The vast majority of tech startups that are very high in valuation, are not necessarily owned by their founders. In some cases, the founders have not only lost controlling shares but lost shares to the extent that they may not control even up to 10%. A lot of shares will be given to VCs during funding rounds.

Truth hurts. At least, you agree Innoson has a business. He employs thousand like other businessmen. Without oil, entrepreneurs would be the only billionaires.

Famfa oil employ more than Innoson. Do you think it’s play to have stake in Agbami field as far back as 1993? Was Obasanjo your president in 1993?

Kid Google Alakija and know who she is.

Alakija is an entrepreneur way above the league of the small Innoson.

By the way, stop saying nonsense, Famfa conglomerate as a whole employ more people than that small Innoson will ever employ. You think oil business na play?

this your argument doesn’t hold water. Jeff bezos is considered as the owner of Amazon and formally the world richest man with just 10% stake.. control is subjective if you have the largest numbers of shsres you will definitely be having significant influences in the company. And i believe we suffer here in this part of the world because we want to own everything rather than patnering. I will rather own 10% of a billion than hold 99% of a million.

You are very correct @the bolded.

The penchant for wanting to own the business to oneself alone is why most family business fail after the demise of the owner as we have in the crumbling of many extremely rich older generations.

It’s better to hole just 5% stakes in a $billion company where you are sure the management will always be on auto pilot even after you’re long gone and your family will still benefit from your stake.

Stop engaging his likes. They have been groomed from birth to protect their own while casting aspersions on those of others. That is how they roll. You can see that despite proving to him that Innoson enjoys as much Gov't patronage, if not more than others, he still insisted. Tell someone from his part of the country to name those who have destroyed the country and you would see him mention the current president, maybe Buhari, governors of the South West, etc. but you won't see him mention the likes of OUK, Orji, Uwuanyi and the host of other incompetent, highly corrupt leaders from his part of the country, including their new messiah.

The key secret to that is that in Yoruba land when friends and family noticed you are at the verge of becoming wealthy or successful. They always sounds a key note of warning which goes like this "ti isu eni ba ta,a dowo boje".This literally means "if you are successful you hid it" and besides you hardly see Yorubas bragging they love it lowkey.

You want to start tribal banters on Christmas Day. Is it Obasanjo that gives her the oil blocks in Sierra Leone? Today is about Alakija, allow whoever want to celebrate her do so in peace, when an Ibo woman achieves such success celebrate her we will also celebrate her. In fact, Yorubas offer Ibos jobs and Ibo also offer Yorubas. It’s only in politics that the two tribes do seem not to agree.

You are very correct. It's actually an African proverb. But on the later part, you are not. On this thread alone, we have started boasting.

One thing I've noticed is that old money people hardly boast
