The Dollar is tilting towards #1500 and #2000 before the end of 2024.

Inflation is going to be worse in 2024

my own theory rests on import substitution and once Dangote relives FG of diesel and petrol substitution, things are bound to readjust in favour of Naira.
When the wuruwuru deadline for PH refinery to start operation drew near, the naira strengthened in anticipation of import substitution, now that they have changed tune to start saying it is until December 2024 again, we have this sad headline. God!

On paper and seems in reality Nigeria as a nation has an imposed president but in our heart of hearts, we did not have a president. A criminal who forces his way into power can not be our president and will never be. He may be the president of criminals alike but for those who believes in justice, fairness and morality that ‘thing’ is not our president.

Import substitution is not only in the oil sector,it cuts across vide; textiles, phones electronics gadgets, cars, shoes to mention but a few.

NIGERIA is virtually a dumping ground for foreign products.

The government can't keep subsidizing the lifestyle of the majority of the wealthy.

how does defending the naira against the dollar mean that the government is "subsidizing the lifestyle of the majority of the wealthy"?

who are these "majority of the wealthy" you are referring to?

has not defending the naira made them poorer?

As the government is no longer defending naira with $2bn monthly, where is the money diverted to?

$2bn is above ₦2trn monthly and in a year is ₦24trn which is enough to fund our budget yearly. Why do we need to borrow again bearing in mind that trillions are also saved from the subsidy removal.

Buhari said the same thing about TSA account and recovered loots but he ended up printing more Naira more than anyone else in history.

Is it that you forget these things or you choose to blindly accept these lies so as to solidify your resolve to support the government?

Let this sort of stupidity end this year please

You are the one exhibiting low IQ view and sorry to point that out. if they really don't want to defend naira then they should increase the minimum wage of workers so their purchasing power will be at par with the new naira value. It is common sense but unfortunetly those bandits and supporters lacks that

Look at what this ignoramus is saying. It is fine for naira to keep depreciating against the dollar, so to what end is your goal of you want naira to keep depreciating then what do you intend to acheive in the long run.
What do you think is responsible for hyperinflation going on in Nigeria today? You think it's fuel subsidy? It's this Naira depreciation that's causing the hyper inflation going on in the economy. The people's purchasing power is at its lowest, yet you are fine with naira to keep depreciating because one fool in Abuja promised you to suffer today for an utopian better tomorrow.
Better wake up and smell the coffee, there's no better tomorrow that you are suffering for today. The only people enjoying today and will enjoy tomorrow are the politicians and you their willing slaves will keep suffering if you don't do something about it.
Better wake up
