In a remarkable display of community engagement, the Galaxy Clique Ọffa has taken a significant step towards bolstering local security efforts by donating a patrol van to security operatives in Offa. This initiative stems from the club's commitment to addressing emerging trends and insecurity within our communities, a theme explored during its annual colloquium held on the same day last year.

Distinguished speakers at the colloquium included retired Air Vice-Marshal Balogun, retired Assistant Inspector General Opadokun, and retired Colonel Olayanju. Chief Mrs Shade Omoniyi presided over the event as the chairperson.

The club's commitment to addressing local security challenges became evident in the aftermath of the colloquium, with one of the key communiques emphasizing the significance of local content in the security architecture of Offa. In response, the Galaxy Clique Ọffa took proactive measures by providing a patrol vehicle for local guards and vigilante groups.

In a poignant gesture, the Galaxy Clique Ọffa decided to suspend its usual annual colloquium for the current year. This decision was made as a mark of respect for their departed member, Abdulrasheed Lanre Oyewo.

The formal presentation of the patrol vehicle is scheduled for December 29, 2023, at the ODU National Secretariat. The ODU National President, Alhaji Azeez Olaniyi Salako, will receive the vehicle on behalf of the people of Offa, marking a momentous occasion for the community.

Additionally, the impact of the Galaxy Clique Ọffa extends beyond immediate security concerns. The club's 2021 colloquium focused on combating drug abuse among youths, featuring insights from General Buba Marwa, the Executive Chairman of NDLEA. As a positive outcome of this event, the Kwara State Government has granted approval for the Galaxy Clique Ọffa to remodel the Drug Rehabilitation Center at the General Hospital in Offa. This transformative project is expected to be completed in the upcoming year, further solidifying the club's commitment to the well-being of its community.
