I beg to disagree with you. Champions league for example is a combination of Europe best 4, 3, 2 or first top clubs. More than 8 clubs from England has won it or reach final and semi finals, not just in the olden era but also in the modern era. In fact they dominate the modern era.
You want to tell me that Manchester City and Liverpool can not make Top 10 or even top 5 if they are all combined? In fact I surely know that Manchester City and Liverpool must top the so combined league at least once on every 4 years.
