Uga Yuletide attack: APGA hails Soludo, Police for tracking down, neutralizing hoodlums




The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has commended the Anambra State Police Command for going after the criminals that terrorized Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State during the Yuletide.

The criminal on operation had killed two police men from the Enugu State Command on the convoy of a top politician in the state.

Reacting to the development on Wednesday in a press statement, Obigwe said gone were the days when criminals could operate in the state and go scot free.

He said Anambra is a no-go area for criminals under the watch of the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo

The APGA media chief said,"I will first of all commend Anambra Police command and the administration of Governor Soludo for this good job .

"Anambra is no longer a state that you can commit crime and go scot-free.

"As at today in Anambra, if you commit crime in the state, be ready to face the consequence.

"It showed that we have a working Governor and a working Commissioner of Police in Anambra.

Çontinuing, Obigwe said,"As for the disgruntled elements politicising the incident, they should bury their heads in shame because our gallant security agents have proved their mettle once again by smashing the criminal gang behind that unfortunate Uga attack.

"Recall that the unfortunate Uga incident happened on 29th December and Anambra Police command did not rest until they discovered their hideout, stormed the place in commando style and ruthlessly dealt with the heartless criminals.

"I doff my cap for Anambra Police command for justifying the confidence reposed in them by ndi Anambra.

"Like I said earlier, security issues are not supposed to be politicised.

"It is only sponsors of criminality that will politicise security issues.

"My belief is that security is everybody's business and we must all join hands with the working administration of Governor Soludo to nip insecurity in the bud in our beloved State because security remains the bedrock of sustainable development.

"Kudos to Anambra State government and Anambra police command for justifying the confidence reposed in them by ndi Anambra.

"Anambra under the watch of our beloved Governor Soludo is truly in a safe hands."/
