Despite facing significant challenges, the report reflects the company's resilience, strategic adaptations, and continued commitment to fostering sustainable agricultural practices across Nigeria.

Business Overview: Operating in three locations across two states—Niger State (Bida & Lapai) and Kebbi State—Noba Africa has positioned itself as a major commodity supplier recognized by top food processing companies in Nigeria. The company's business portfolio includes commodity trading, seed production, and distribution, focusing on key commodities such as paddy rice, soybeans, sesame, and sheanut.

Management Messages: The Chairman and CEO shared insights into the challenges and triumphs of the year. The redesign of the naira notes, fuel price hikes post-election, and the lifting of the foreign exchange ban on rice significantly impacted trade volume and profits. However, strategic adjustments, including trading in Kebbi border using CEFA as currency, showcased the company's adaptability.

Despite the hurdles, Q3 saw Noba Africa surpassing revenue targets by over 7%. In Q4, the ban lift on foreign exchange for rice brought new opportunities, with investors showing increased interest. Notably, Noba Africa received NGN 128,000,000 from a local company for paddy rice procurement, and discussions with a financier of goods and distribution are underway.

Financial Highlights: The financial year ended with a net revenue of NGN 2,095,985,183.70, marking a 32% increase from the previous year. However, the return on investment (ROI) was 38.67%, slightly down from the targeted 50%.

Trade Volume and Profit Margin: The four main occurrences—Naira note redesign, fuel price hike, election, and foreign exchange ban lift—negatively impacted trade volume by 11%. Despite this, Noba Africa demonstrated a robust 653% revenue growth in the last three years, averaging 163% (YOY) annual growth.

Investment Opportunities: Looking ahead, Noba Africa is seeking to raise NGN 150,000,000 to fulfill orders. The company offers two modes of investment: conventional investment with returns between 18% and 24% per annum or ethical investment with a 5-6% quarterly return. The minimum investment amount is NGN 1,000,000.

Partnerships and Recognition: The report highlighted Noba Africa's achievements, including being recognized as a top supplier by Kiara Rice Mill and WASIL. The company also received appreciation from the Outgrower arm of FMN and an invitation from Sassakaw Global to lead their "Market Access Program."
