Some will say e tried in infrastructure development, which infrastructure be that compare to the money he borrowed

Growth rate will always slow down as a thing gets bigger
What is the growth rate of a foetus in its mothers's womb
Growth rate in first year of life

second year of life 13th year of life

The real question is what was the size of the economy in 1999 and the growth rate from 1983 when the military took over

You know an urchnn by how he tries to deflect the monumental failure of his party APC whenever economic indices are being discussed.

They want us to believe that every country in the world prospered from 1999-2015 and every country stagnated from 2015-date.

Bassstrds!

You know great country with great leader during the time of abundant. What are the legacies built during those time that last century I.e Awolowo era. So, what are the legacies when Nigeria had the money is the hallmark of great leader. If we can't build or repair refineries during the time of boom says a lot about those leaders, which consequence brought the whole country to her kneel decade after.

2015 - 2017 were terrible years for oil producing countries. The biggest oil producing province in Canada, Alberta was in recession during that period. They had so much money prior that they proposed a $20 minimum wage by 2020 but it’s 2024 and they are still at $15. Minimum wage hasn’t gone up in 6 years.

2018 things began to get better with the oil prices. 2019 - 2020 Covid shut everything back down and that rang loudly over the world too.

2021 things began to get better then Russia - Ukraine went to war. The impact is still being felt on the world economy.

It’s convenient to blame APC and Buhari. That the man even kept the country together is praise worthy. Nigeria can not have a stable economy relying on unstable oil prices.

Obasanjo enjoyed the benefits of an emerging economy.. and he allowed things to flow being a wise leader, he was both strong economically and politically, therefore there was stability

Yaradua consolidated due to the fact that there was no opposition

By the time good luck entered the picture, the orientation of the political class was shifting from nationalism, progress and result to political interests.. Jonathan did well economically like any PDP led government would have done, but failed in political leadership, so therefore he did not enjoy the stability that Obj and yaradua enjoyed

As for Buhari, I kind of like the man... his last 2 years in office revealed the kind of leader he'd have been if he wasn't the type that catches up too slow.. he failed spectacularly due to ill health at the start, the loss of Abba kyari and his party the APC.
I'm sure he left office with many regrets... It took him too long to identify where his real problems layed.
He failed economically and politically but [s]he tried in areas of infrastructure[/s]

As for Tinubu.. I think that he will do well.. so far aside from his lopside appointments he seems to be getting most of his executive decisions right.. [s]I don't think that he'll be an infrastructural giant like Buhari[/s].. but he definitely will revive the economy he seems to have keen interest in tracking of revenue and expenditure sources at the federal level and he's setting up measures to block leakages and expanding the tax net of the federal government.. it's like a restructure of some sort.. if he succeeds and has good intentions.. the man will make financial gains for Nigeria like no other president have done before by the time he leaves office

You were making sense until you mentioned the bolded. That was when I knew you don't know much or probably speaking out of ignorance.

Why do you guys keep saying Buhari tried in the area of infrastructure? Dude compare the money he borrowed to rush and build those to that of Goodluck.

Make una no dey talk this thing E dey vex me. Hyping rubbish. You need to step out of this shithole make you see infrastructure. 😐

If your buhari was so good then, why didn't he at least consolidate on the abundance he met? Other presidents before him at least made our GDP averagely high. Why couldn't he at least maintain it? But like we all know, the moment he entered the high GDP he met crashed to negative values. Even a fool can tell he was a disaster. Stop trying to defend nonsense. Byeee

Kalu should also point out that between 2011-2014 NGN Brent crude was at a high of $100 and that no single project was completed during this time. No major road, bridge, power plant or refinery. What PMB did with poverty, PDP could not do with affluence.
