Sadio Mane has constructed a stadium in his village, Bambali in Senegal.

He played football on the former mud pitch when he visited his village in 2022. He took it upon himself to transform it to a stadium.

He has now built a stadium, £455,000 hospital, £250,000 school, fuel station and post office for his people.

A year and about six months later, Mane has officially inaugurated the newly-built stadium for the village, fulfilling a pledge he made.

The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of many responsible figures in the State of Senegal, who were keen to be present to provide support and congratulations to the Lion of Teranga.

It usually baffles me.

You buy hundreds of millions worth cars but the road to your home is terrible and no one in your community can proudly associate with you. That isn't true wealth.

While we understand it's not your duty to fix roads or provide amenities, you doing so goes to show us the content of your character.

He will never be poor with the amount of investment he has executed in his country.
