Khale is the Nigerian singer who is shaking up the Afrobeat scene with his infectious tunes and collaborations. The independent artist, who is based in South Africa, dropped his debut EP, ‘’Airplane Mode’’, in 2022, and has been on fire ever since. He has hooked up with some of the hottest names in the game.

Born Patrick Okhale Emmanuel on January 12, 1993 in Igara, Edo State, Nigeria, Khale grew up in a religious family and joined the Boys’ Brigade, a Christian youth group, where he fell in love with music. He moved to South Africa after finishing his studies in Nigeria, chasing his dream of becoming a musician.

He made his debut in 2022, with “Ups N Down”, a joint single with Solopiii, which got rave reviews from TooXclusive, a popular Nigerian music website. He followed it up with his debut EP, ‘’Airplane Mode’’, which featured six tracks, including “In A Minute”, which got featured on Hiptv’s Next Rated Playlist in 2023. Khale’s music is a mix of Afrobeat, Afropop and Rap, with influences from both Nigerian and South African cultures.

Khale has also shown himself as a savvy networker, befriending some of the big names in the Nigerian music industry, such as Zlatan, who invited him to appear in his music video for “10 Bottles” in 2023. He has also teamed up with South African artists, such as Crazy Vibes and Bee DeeJay, who were featured on his EP. His latest single, “Calabash”, which was released in January 2024, is a collaboration with Galaybaton, a South African singer who is also making waves in the Afrobeat scene.

Khale is one of the most promising artists in the African music scene, and he is not slowing down anytime soon. Khale is definitely an artist to watch out for, as he continues to make his mark in the music industry.
