It is not what people accept that matters, it is what eventually happens.
Afterall, nobody would burn their income if it increases in 2025 due to bad belle.

In short words, thanks for this reply.

Is it today Nigerians have been hearing empty promises and predictions?

Not with the way the 37billion got mismanaged.

God love nigerians as a special Creator, we will always bounced back. Is it Only #37Billion? Did you know how much people have escaped with since 1999 without being noticed? Thank God eyes are well opened now

International bodies and cho cho cho in African matters. The other predicted that Nigeria would split by 2015, but here we are..

One thing I noticed about the African government is that they usually mind their businesses...

They do it to all member nations.

sure this will happen because of the devaluation of the currency and inflation.

If you're smart enough, you will easily predict that.

With the increased market liberalisation efforts of this administration will help the rich get insanely richer while making the poor poorer.

So with more money for the rich,it will seem like it's same situation for us all
illiteracy nah werey

I already see some agents rejoicing that their masters ...in the World Slavery Bank, is predicting higher per capita income.

I Weep.

Did they give you the estimate in percentage, of how much it would increase?

- what will be the effect of galloping inflation on the increase

- how many Nigerians would partake in the increase; Abi just some few Oligarchs will chop the food?

Plus ppl, don't rejoice , when your enemy and the enemy of God, smiles and lies to soothe you to sleep, while you drift into poverty, war and death.

The World Bank is just a lending institution.
They should not pretend to be experts on Nigeria's economic affairs.

One defect of this generation of black ppl; unlike Black ppls of the ancient world, is that we are emotional, and we need to correct this.

Our emotions is not tied to logic, so we are easily deceived , led astray and hypnotised.

But we can become awakened.

Let's awaken from this slumber. God is our Father and Mother. God created us. We are his children. And we can overcome slavery, low self esteem, bondage and underdevelopment.
We can fulfill our God - given destiny

As interesting as these Per Capita Income projections are, this does not translate to a better life for everyday Nigerians in real terms. Wage structure, access to good health and education, housing costs, electricity/fuel accessibility, and cost of everyday goods - these are what matters to the standard of living for the people, and which can actually increase the productivity of the working force.

PCI, GDP, GNP can all be looking good and still, the citizens not feeling it.

Higher per capita isn’t the problem
The problem is its equitable distribution
How much of it will be in Nigerians’ pockets?

Wealth distribution is a problem in every country in the world. No one is going to solve this anytime soon. That's how capitalism works.

The government should continue it's efforts with power, infrastructure and services like health. The difference between South Africa and Nigeria today is not about their economies today but rather about how one invested heavily in in infrastructure in a time of plenty while the other frittered all its money away without completing any meaningful project.

This actually is not supposed to be a big deal. This would make Nigeria one of the slowest countries in sub Saharan Africa to return to it's pre pandemic size.
Again, under the corrupt PDP, we grew by more than 6% yearly average but the Tinubu government can only give us half that growth.
You really think this is reason to celebrate? Now compare the projected growth with the projected population increase and tell us if you are still so impressed.

World Bank 🏦 dey play, dey play oooo ....

That $27 is worth 10 times its American value in Nigeria.

With that money you can pay school fees and feed a small family for a month.

In America it’s barely enough for a single day.

My friend go and study history and stop typing rubbish.

South Africa started building her infrastructure from the mid 1800s, while Nigeria only started in 1960, after independence, since all the British did was loot.

Our first power plant was Kainji dam commissioned in 1964.

South Africa? Their first power plants were built in the 1880s.

First universities, 1890s.

Nigeria’s first university was completed in 1962.

Dunno why I should be explaining this to people who are supposedly educated.

The colonialists saw SA as THEIR country, so they reinvested export proceeds into the economy right from the start, unlike in other colonies where they simply built rudimentary infrastructure, just enough to facilitate their exploitation and looting.

That’s why Nigeria was virtually a jungle in 1960, when SA was already a developed country.

But Nigeria is catching up slowly. It will still be a few decades before she can be on the same level in terms of development, with SA.

There can be huge increase in per capital income and the masses still not better off.

In fact, the masses can even be worse off.
