PCAI Condemns Corruption Allegations, Defends Hon. Tunji Ojo Against Baseless Accusations

In a recent press statement, the Progressive Change Agents Initiative (PCAI) has strongly condemned corruption and manipulation attempts surrounding the ongoing financial mismanagement investigation involving the suspended Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. Emphasizing the significance of upholding accountability and applauding honest governance, PCAI raised concerns over faceless attempts to mislead anti-graft agencies and falsely implicate Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo in the scandal.

The PCAI highlighted critical violations of Nigeria’s Financial Regulations 2009, shedding light on the legalities that prohibit public funds from being paid into private accounts. Expressing dismay at efforts to disrupt investigations, the organization urged thorough scrutiny and the recovery of any misappropriated national wealth.

The statement vehemently denounced unnamed elements seeking to drag Hon. Tunji-Ojo into the controversy without substantiated evidence. PCAI presented records proving his resignation from a company long before assuming office as Minister of Interior.
