Fortunately, 5 swamp turtles would be used to Prepare;
1. Egusi soup (melon soup)
2. Peppersoup
3. Fried stew

Let's have it....


Am curious to see how you prepare it.

Step 1
Wash the Turtle very well to remove dirt from the body.

Please Note: Be careful not to put your finger in the opening around the head so it doesn't snap on your finger. It could be very painful.

Step 2
After washing, turn it upside down, get a sharp knife or cutlass (a cutting tool of your choice) and a plier or something to hold onto its head to easy cutting.
Once you pin the head down, simple cut it off and allow the blood to drain.

NOTE: You may need an hot object to place on the flat plate. This forces the Turtle to bring out its head.

Step 3
Use the cutlass to crack the edges.
Put a pot of water on fire, place the cut off head of turtles in it and boil for about 20mins. This makes pulling the meat from the shell easy.

Step 4
Remove the scales, intestines and bile. Rinse and there you have your meat to ready to be used to Prepare your soup or meat.

Ofcos there are more than enough meats in the open market, swamp turtles, sea turtles, tortoises etc inclusive .

I do have a steady supplier...(funny right?). Moreover, at that time of the year, I do have swamp turtle infestation around my farm. So, it's free food for all.

Last I checked, we are the ones encroaching much of their space. So are you certain it isn't instead the case that your particular farm happens to be in the path of their migration? This as opposed to your "Infestation" theory which seems less likely to be the case? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
