Highlights of the In-House Inauguration/Induction for Aviation Agencies' CEOs and Directors

In a momentous ceremony, the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, addressed the audience marking the induction of newly appointed Agency's Chiefs and Directors at the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

During his speech, the Honourable Minister emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's approval of significant leadership changes underscores a commitment to elevating Nigeria's aviation sector standards and ensuring consumer protection. The change, announced on December 13th, reflects a strategic move toward the industry's well-being.

The Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, charged the CEOs and Directors to align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. Stressing that citizens' appraisal will be used to judge their performance. She commended the Honourable Minister for his efforts in improving airport infrastructure and service delivery.

The Honourable Minister also used the moment to outline his comprehensive five-point agenda to the new appointees, emphasizing strict safety compliance, support for local airlines meeting international standards, infrastructure improvement, human capacity development, and optimizing revenue generation for the Federal Government.

The Ministry actively seeks dynamic collaborations and partnerships, aiming to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and joint ventures with international economic organizations and leading enterprises.

The Honourable Minister urged the newly appointed leaders to embark on a journey of leadership and innovation, emphasizing the collective effort needed for success. He encouraged collaboration, adaptability to change, and visionary leadership amongst the agencies. While also making each CEO sign a performance bond. Additionally, he issued a stern warning, stating he would not hesitate to personally hand over anyone found involved in corrupt practices to law enforcement.

Concluding his address, the Minister extended warm congratulations and a hearty welcome to the new leaders, expressing anticipation of witnessing their significant contributions to the growth and success of the Nigerian Aviation value chain.
