Was the attack on the Houthis a farce from which the Houthis benefited greatly? Western analyzes support this possibility, and from behind the curtain: Biden defends his “light” strikes against the Houthis...full details of Washington’s new military tactic in Yemen

New content on the Houthi-West conflict presented by this episode of Samri Channel.
US President Joe Biden vowed to respond to the Houthis if they continued their reckless behavior, indicating that he believed there were no civilian casualties as a result of the strikes that targeted the Houthis in Yemen. US President Joe Biden described the Houthi group in Yemen as a "terrorist organization."

Biden stressed that his country will respond to the Houthis if they continue this infuriating behavior (targeting international navigation in the Red Sea). On the other hand, many progressive Democrats in the US House of Representatives criticized President Biden on Thursday for launching air strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen without Congressional approval, arguing that the measure was unconstitutional. Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna tweeted: “The President needs to come to Congress before launching a strike against the Houthis in Yemen and engaging us in another conflict in the Middle East. This is Article 1 of the Constitution. I will defend it regardless of whether there is a Democrat or Republican in the White House.” ". “Section 2 of the War Powers Act is clear: The President of the United States may bring the United States into hostilities only after authorization of Congress or in a national emergency when the United States is under imminent attack,” the California Democrat continued.

Democratic Representative Val Hoyle tweeted, "Congress did not authorize these airstrikes. The Constitution is clear: Congress is the only authority authorizing military intervention in foreign conflicts. Every president must first come to Congress and request military authorization, regardless of party." Representative Pramila Jayapal, head of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, described the US-UK-led bombing campaign as an “unacceptable violation of the Constitution.”

She further explained that “Article 1 requires Congressional approval for military action.” Democratic Representative Mark Pocan expressed his fear that Biden's actions in Yemen could risk the United States' involvement in another conflict that has been going on for decades without authorization from Congress. He continued, "The White House must work with Congress before continuing these air strikes in Yemen." Left-wing Rep. Cori Bush called the airstrikes "illegal" and implored the 81-year-old president to "stop the bombing and do better," tweeting: "The people don't want any more of our taxpayer money going to endless war and the killing of civilians."

Representative Rashida Tlaib, who had previously accused Biden of supporting genocide against the Palestinians, also condemned the attack on Yemen. “The American people are tired of endless wars,” she tweeted, calling the air strikes unconstitutional. The attacks against the Houthi militias in Yemen come after a series of drone and missile attacks launched by the Houthis against cargo ships in the Red Sea. “The United States has a special and historic obligation to help protect and defend the arteries of global trade,” a senior US administration official told reporters on Thursday. "This action is directly in line with that tradition. This is clearly reflected in our National Security Strategy and National Defense Strategy. It is a fundamental conviction of the President and it is a commitment we are prepared to fulfill."
