Ahead of the 2024 governorship poll election in Edo state, the Concerned Edo Progressive ECP, has called on all relevant stakeholders in the state to look beyond “sacred unwritten rotation that might over monetize the polity and focus less on competence and actual delivery on the needs of the people of the state while stating that it’s high time for young progressive to take over the mantle of the number one seat of the state for the restoration of all that Edo State has lost.

A communique signed by the spoke person of the organisation Mr. Hassan Abiri, stated that the people’s loyal servant has surfaced- Barr Kasimu Otono, a young, vibrant and dynamic youth for Edo Gubernatorial candidate (APC) come 2024.

Abiri said it is high time we put forward capable, young and vibrant Edo Son who have proven to show excellence in his chosen career and without unquestionable character to fill the highly exalted governorship seat of the state while stating that we have long waited for good, effective and dynamic governance in Edo State and as such the only person that has been tested and trusted who also possess high level integrity, character, capacity, humility and competence that can rescue Edo State from bad governance is Barr. Kasimu Otono who has touched and impacted lives positively across the state regardless of your background given to his philanthropic and generous nature and genuine love for his people and humanity.

The group said “although there is a golden rule that has been adopted by all relevant stakeholders to foster peace and unity and fairness amongst all Edo Sons and Daughters but urge that the party APC should look beyond sentiment but more competence and capacity to deliver the Renewed Hope mantra of Mr President to the great people of Edo state which should be the more reason they should look inward to the unquestionable person of Barr. Kasimu Otono and as such thrown weight behind his candidacy and appeal to all aspirants from all the three senatorial districts to close rank and support a breath of fresh…..

He further reiterates Barr. Kasimu Otono commitment and antecedent as a loyal party man who has never decamped to any other Party and who aspired in 2022 but stepped down for the former national chairman of the Party, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomole (now a Senator) who was contesting the senate while he was racing for the green chamber give to the fact that they are from same Local Government Area and rally unwavering support for the party APC both at the state and national Level.

While Barr. Otono served as Director, Youth Mobilization, Edo North Presidential/Senatorial Campaign Council in the last general elections where he performed exceptionally well that earned the APC the overwhelming victory they deserve, Edo North youths and beyond were all in cheerful mood upon announcement of his appointment.

Accordingly, he assured all Edo citizens irrespective of Party affiliations or tribe as he doesn’t need to know you before he helps you. He is a good product to sell without any baggage or blemish, this is why his political Party the APC will not make any mistake by endorsing him as their flag bearer because members of other political parties and other electorates will accept and vote for him unconditionally at the general elections.

Irrespective of our affiliation to different political Parties we believe Barr. Kasimu Otono of the APC will put the interest of Edolites first in delivering the dividends of democracy and bringing succour to the common man.
