China calls for an international peace conference on Gaza to set a specific timetable and formulate a roadmap for implementing the “two-state solution” and resuming “Israeli-Palestinian peace talks” as soon as possible.



Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that his country calls for holding an international peace conference in the Gaza Strip that will be broader, more reliable and more effective.

Wang Yi added in statements to reporters after his meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, in Cairo, on Monday, that "implementing the two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just settlement of the Palestinian issue."

He pointed out that "the essence of settling the Palestinian issue lies in correcting historical injustice," as well as "restoring justice to the Palestinian people as soon as possible."

The Chinese Foreign Minister confirmed that his country calls for this conference to be held to set a specific timetable and formulate a road map for implementing the "two-state solution" and resuming "Israeli-Palestinian peace talks" as soon as possible.

China, Iran, and Saudi Arabia expressed their concern about the continuation of the current situation in the Gaza Strip, demanding the immediate cessation of military operations in the Gaza Strip, sustainable relief for civilians, and opposition to the forced displacement of Palestinians.
