Who cares? What is important to most of us is that they're rescued alive. Bandits attack or kidnap anyone they wish to. It has nothing to do with tribes.

Yesterday someone tweeted that there were also other people that were kidnapped and killed (he mentioned a Yoruba girl that was killed) and he alleged that Sarki did not raise funds for them or mention them because they are not northerners.

That's the allegation that he is responding to.

Even though it doesn't matter where they are from, I have never met a Yoruba person called Najeeba or their dad Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar. The name from Google/Facebook points to Kaduna. Who knows, the family may also be fulanis from Ilorin.

They're northerners. Don't mind waspapping. He said this now because he learnt Yorubas are also amongst the people they kidnapped.
