The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mr Nyesom Wike, has frowned at constant travels by area council chairmen in the wake of security challenges in the city.

Recall that there has been a spike in the abduction and killing of residents by bandits, especially in Kuje and Bwari area councils.

The minister on Tuesday described the constant travels as unacceptable.

He said, “This time around, we will not be happy where area council chairmen will abdicate their responsibilities and travel out.

“We have gotten reports that the council chairmen travel any time, and if anything happens, they will not call anybody’s name but the FCT minister’s.

“So, council chairmen should know that they must wake up to their responsibilities. It is not everything that happens people will say that the ministers are not taking steps.”

Wike, I'm not sure if you are PDP or APC; but you have always appeared to be a strong man. Do something, act like a strong man.

Kidnapping for ransome is a low intelligence level crime; no serious country in the world still experiences Kidnapping for Ransome ( I am not talking of human trafficking or Kidnapping of kids by fighting spouses).

Kidnapping is so easy to solve, even a first year student of the Police College can solve it.

It takes too much manpower and activity to effectively kidnap a human being.

You have to steal the person, house the person, feed the person; call and negotiate with the family and friends, collect the money ( ransome), keep or spend the money.

Do something Wike.

Abacha and AL Mustapha were bad leaders, but they kept an iron hand on Abuja security.

This thing is not hand.

The killing of innocent people ESPECIALLY
children carries a heavy curse from God on all society, do something Wike.
