Does anyone know why Nigerian homes are built without garages? Thanks

Too small plots for too many people, is the main reason I think, as larger more modern homes do have garages or at least space to park cars.

Cheap old cars might be another reason, as a 10 year old Corolla wouldn't suffer much in the open sun, while the few Bugatti owners do have garages I'd bet, and even servants to tend the Bugatti.

Another reason, and I'm sure there's loads more, could be the availability of cheap parking on the streets. If there were a hefty enough charge, garages might be more economical.

Garages are mainly built because of snow. It's good to have one though.

Because our neighbours won't be oppressed.

I get your point. In Florida where there is no snow, most homes have garages. So if you travel you can just leave your car in the garage.

So where do people in Nigeria leave their cars when they travel? Thanks
