Many things you will behold this year 2024; but your interpretation and how you react will change the situation. It is a case of either the glass is half full or is half empty; I know many predictions about the new-year will follow the usual pattern : prosperity, increase and multiplication. One wonders why many pastors ans prophets fail to warns us to be on guard. Yet, our arch-enemy, the devil, will again be at his game with the believers in 2024. If anything, he will up his tactics because he knows the time is nearer with each passing day. The bible forewarns us about Satan’s devices, with these two particular words: “SOBRIETY and VIGILANCE”. These words sobriety and vigilance, are synonymous, the qualities of a good watchman or security operative. It elicits seriousness, alertness and wakefulness. If a security agent lacks these qualities, security is sooner compromised than later. Alertness makes you notice any unusual happenings or movement and vigilant comes from the word vigil that is doing your job without blinking an eyelid because of sleep. A man at the watchtower, in biblical times needed these qualities because lacking of them will spell doom for the sleeping inhabitants and thus put them all in danger of an evading army,who torched the city and in the confusion snip the people as they run helter skelter, with deadly aims of thier bows and arrows. Just as an army in warfront adopts a strategy so too the devil adopts a strategy, every year to get the believers to backslide,fall into temptation and live in sin. The bible calls it devices. The enemy can adopt different guises to enter the closed citties and unleash havoc. So, too the devil will schemes every year and this in particular, he will come in disguise, to deceive, to lure and seduce the believers. His modus operandi is to make a believer fall out of grace, backslide and sit with the scornfuls. Therefore, it behooves the believers to heed the bible warnings 1 Thessalonians 5:6, therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, Titus 2:6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:. Jesus our lord and savior told the disciples the cardinal point of Saran’s program. To steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The parts of the body that the devil will desire to take advantage are our eyes, our hands and our ears. Yes, your vision may impact your life because what you see have more power to convince you than what you hear. Devil does not do much whispering like he plays the game of deception with you through what you see. His chief weapon is what you see. Mark 13:22, For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. The part of the body that assimilates signs and wonders is the eyes; not the ears or hands. What you see makes more impression .You are always witnesses because of what you see… John 4:48, Then said Jesus unto him, except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

EARS [hearing]: John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Those who have ears and no eyes can achieve more than those with eyes and no hearing. Our action and perception can be formed by what we hear. Where you are today is as a result of your action based on your hearing that comes through one way or the other. No wonder the bible says Faith, which is vital, to please the God, is base on what you hear [not on what you see].

Like our radio, we can tune to what station we desire; funk, gospel, disco or news. Our ears to hear some certain messages that we feel we want to hear. That is having itching ears. 2 Timothy 4:3, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; many want to hear the negatives, fear, failure defeat mental disability despair and finally death. What you desire to hear you will hear them a lot because your ears shall be attune to that wave. Those who want to traffic in negatives and bad news know where and how to get them. This year let your ear seeks out positive news, news about good deeds, helps and favors. Read with me Mark 10:46-47, And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. Firstly, he heard even though he cannot see. No doubt, he has heard from Teachers and the prophets that the savior will come and heal those who have faith in him of diseases. Remember, faith comes through hearing not what you see for God is a spirit you cannot see God. Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, heard another voice that day, many speaking same thing, but he chose to hold unto what he heard before. Mark 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

HANDS: Genesis 5:29, and he called his name Noah, saying, this same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. Hands represent a lot for us. The foremost is that the hands are use for labor. Your hands represent your means of your livelihood. The hands are also use to praise God. Psalms 134:2, Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

The hands as depicted by Moses are a winning weapon against the enemy see Exodus 17:11-12, and it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Laying on of hands as priests and servant of God. See Numbers 27:18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; Matthew 19:15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. Acts 6:6 whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them. These are the parts of the body that the devil we want to corrupt this year 2024, but you have overcome him already! 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
