Osimhen was introduced as a teenager. But how cab you seriously suggest that players should be picked from university games. Lol.

I'm not suggesting that, but it shouldn't be overlooked, at least one or 2 talents can be found there

Nigeria is indeed full of talents and there may be some good players at the University level, but there is a pipeline for a reason..they should first play competitive football at the league level to even stand a chance of being considered at all.

Senegal is the favorite to win the AFCON!

Only to fall by the hands of a "small country"

This two teams performed well in the last Afcon held in Cameroon but were destroyed by Senegal in both round of 16 and Quarterfinals respectively

Can history repeat itself?

Non of these countries can beat Senegal, they will likely defend the title.

But we saw Ivory Coast losing to a small Eq. Guinea?

Football is not white and black

Never say never.

With which players? These non-goal-scoring players? I don't think so.

The scary thing about Cape Verd is that they rested 8 of their regular starting lineup since they have already won the group and qualified.

So what we saw today is not even their best team.

Unless Peseiro has a master plan that he is keeping hidden, this CV team will humiliate Super Chickens if care is not taken.

I pity that Ajayi n Omeruo. They will wish they were dropped that day

Without this your personal experience, most Nigerians know NFF and the coaches take bribes to feature players or the influence of an influential person. (Exception is when a Nigerian, either born abroad or not) start playing for top Premier league teams l, then NFF will have no choice than to invite the player)

There's a reason most players in the team are foreign based. Being foreign based, they probably earn in higher currency and can easily pay millions, compared to homebased (with or without clubs) players.
There are NUGA games, and other tournaments (involving football) where stars can easily be picked, if truly Nigeria use scouts to pick talents.

When was the last time Super Eagles featured a teenager?
Was it not Uzoho?

The last time Super Eagles won the nations cup, it was a mixture between exceptional home base players and serious foreign based players. You’re right, corruption has eaten deeply more than before.

Personally I don’t want corruption to thrive which means I don’t want super eagles to go far in this tournament, else the corruption will only get worse.
