That place is over crowded. Lagos Island markets are a fire hazard. Nothing new here.

How often do you hear of fire outbreak at trade fair and aspamda? That place was specifically planned as a market.

Before anyone makes this about tribe and attack on the Igbos like one unfortunate guy on Twitter has already done, the CEO of Mandilas is a Yoruba person and a lot of Yorubas operate there
Must you bring this on here?
You bringing this on here shows how interested you are in tribal ethnic issues

It will be wrong to attribute this fire as targeting the Igbos.

Mind you, not only Igbos do business there.

Lack of sensitisation and orientation on the basis preventive skills of fire and a system that works.

Why should it take the fire service hours before reaching the building talk less of extinguishing the fire.

My condolences to those who have lost properties.
They should attribute it na, who cares? Na before people dey take them serious.

It's one or two Igbo traders at that same market that CAUSES and BENEFITS from such fire outbreak.
It was always the case years back wen i was still in 9ja,in port Harcourt (mile1/2 market). Until we uncovered their dids..

can you tell yourself the percentage of people by tribe that owns shops in that plaza... 80 percent igbos. At the end who suffer the loss most? Obvious truth now sound like tribalism in your ears.
Oga the yoruba's also have investments in lagos. As well as in idumota. Take this as a loss, this is business, risk are bound to occur, that's why the white people introduced insurance. Everything is targeted at the igbo's, The tribe that even suffers most are the hausa's followed by the yoruba's. Yet it's the igbo's that cry foul most.

Tribalism is killing majority of Nigerian youth...

Look at this one... undecided

Can you imagine?

The owner of the building is yoruba. Most shopping complexes in Lagos Island are owned by the Yoruba. Not government properties.....why would they want to burn their properties?

They always like playing the victim cards

They are waiting to blame Satan for fire outbreak. Go figure!

There are losses in business, stop all these targeted agenda, it's won't help matters, Even tinubu himself knows there is no one Nigeria, the so called 80% were they forced to invest at madillas, risk also happens on sea, even on road.
