Seeing Life from God’s Perspective

Tell them the LORD looked down from his heavenly sanctuary. He looked down to earth from heaven
Psalm 102:9

How we see life defines us. Our perspective tells a lot about who we are and our priorities on earth. Some people see life as a fun ground. Their perspective of life makes them to always see life from the angle of enjoyment. They take every little opportunity to enjoy and merry because of their life perspective.

How you define life defines your destiny. Your perspective will determine how you invest your time, how you spend your money and how you use your talents. What’s your view of life ? You may be basing your life on a faulty perspective. Sometimes certain things happen to us and we use it as a reason to define our life even when those events are really a one off event that could have had a different outcome if it played back.

As people of God if we want to work on earth and get the best out of our time here our priorities will have to be set from God’s perspective. We must see life from God’s angle. The bible offers three metaphors of what life is for us. Life is a test, life is a trust and life is a temporary assignment.
The bible tells us of people who passed great tests. Abraham for instance waited for twenty five years before having Isaac. David was chased around by King Saul when God had annointed him to be king with a high chance of being killed by Saul’s men, David lived in caves. Character is always being discovered and improved during tests.

Life is also a trust. Everything we have comes from God. When God put Adam and Eve in Eden. He gave them authority to administer care to the garden. It was loaned to them to use by God, to enjoy. God does same today. With our relationships and talents God gives us opportunities to make life better. God even watches how we use the money he gives us as a means to know if we can be given more. In the parable of the talents what did the master say to those who had used their talents well?
” Well-done good and faithful servant”

Key Point: To live life to the best we must see life from God’s perspective.

Prayer: Lord open my eyes to see life from your own perspective so I can get the best out of my life.
