The headless mob are angry. They want the dollar to reach 2000 naira.

Nothing for them but noise online.

INEC does not count the wailers online.

Nigeria would be great.

Yemi Cardoso saying Naira is undervalued is extremely shocking. Is he preparing us for an exchange rate of N5,000 to the Dollar? Nothing he or the fiscal guys have done has arrested Naira devaluation, not even all the loans from Afrexim and World bank. He should sit up and stabilize the forex market instead of throwing innuendoes into the room.

Do you know what he meant that the Naira is undervalued? Even Mr Rewane said so last week.

Naira would definitely appreciate to the shock of the sore losers who want the country to fail

Vague for comprehension but all the same may God bless Nigeria with a non transparent leaders..

Faiththatworks:
The long and short of this long story is the government of Asiwaju is banking on Nigeria private and public refineries to start producing their own petroleum products.
I have said it several times,it's clear the NNPCL is using us to play ping pong with the date the Refinery will start working.
That's why Asiwaju has gone all out to make sure The Dangote Refinery must work,Infact it has to work.
The Dangote Refinery is a one size fits all drug that will solve almost 50% of Nigerian's problem and sickness according to the Article.
It will stop the importation of petroleum products, thereby saving foreign exchange which will lead to Nigeria having more Dollars to work with.
According to the Article, inflation will reduce when the Dangote Refinery and the unfinished yaho yahoo Port-harcourt Iron starts working because it's assumed Petroleum products will be cheaper and a bit more affordable for the masses, and the knock on effects will reflect in Our agriculture produce because farmers will be able to transport their farm produce cheaper than what it's presently.
Did I mention there will be more industries that will open up because of the Dangote Refinery,so they have easy access to by-product of the crude as their major raw material.
That's the paragraph about attracting foreign capital.
I can go on and on but I will end here, ask yourself,if the Federal Government of Nigeria can be edging their future plans on this Dangote Refinery, the question should be why will I not follow the money and invest around the Refinery.
There's still time,and now's the best time.
Check my signature for more details.
God bless Nigeria........

Nigerians hope this is possible. One issue in Nigeria is that prices of goods and services ,once gone up, barely comes down, even when things are beginning to get better. The average Nigerian is wicked, even with their religiousity.

Hmmm!

The over reliance on the Dangote refinery as a panacea to solving all our economic woes is pedestrian.

For one Dangote who is buying crude at international dollar denominated price is going to be selling refined products at cost reflective rate which may end up being at par with what obtains currently.
We are more guaranteed of products availability than lower prices when the product hit the market.

I don't think the Federal Government should sell crude at international prices to Dangote Refinery because it is for domestic consumption.

It's being said that average cost of production of a barrel of crude oil in Nigeria is about $35; so if the Government adds a profit of $20 and sells it to Dangote Refinery at $55(current international price per barrel is hovering between $75 to $80) it's a win-win situation for the Government and the populace as the Government will still make some profit, while ensuring that fuel products gets to Nigerians at cheaper prices than we currently are paying.

Such a move as above will push down the rate of inflation through lower transportation cost for commuters and goods and services, while conserving our foreign reserves as money will not be spent on importation of fuel products and other petrochemicals (which were once stated to make up to about 70% of our imports); finally it might lead to an appreciation of the value of the naira against the dollar and other currencies.

https://dailypost.ng/2020/09/07/petrol-nigerians-will-pay-more-even-with-refineries-chike-obi/

The belief that refineries will lead to cheap PMS is not supported by facts. Nothing major produced in Nigeria has ever been cheaper than the foreign alternative. Not sugar, rice, textiles, flour, or even cement. Importation of PMS will be banned and we will pay more eventually.

Nigerian economic policy is generally socialist. It's predicated on government control. It's Garrison Economics, it's the same thing the EU is imposing on the people of Europe. The government and the PEOPLE of Nigeria don't believe anyone has the right to buy what they want or produce what they want. That's why everything is expensive in Nigeria.

The solution is FREEDOM. The solutions are clear but Nigerians generally want to get things at below market prices, they ALWAYS seek someone who can be cheated.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

This Cardoso guy is sound. I read all his analysis, an educated person should be able to understand. It may take a while, but if they are actually doing what he analyzed here and adhere to it, we may start to see changes bit by bit. Cos everything got spoilt bit by bit as well.

Dangote, PH refineries, others won’t change fuel price – NNPCL

The local production of Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol, by Dangote Refinery, Port Harcourt Refining Company and others in Nigeria is not going to change the pump price of the commodity, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has said.

Fall to where?

Giving how petrol price jumped dramatically from ₦200-250 to over ₦650 after Tinubu's fuel subsidy removal, if the pump price didn't drop to ₦100 which is below the previous price, then that wouldn't be counted as falling.
