I know most of us are familiar with the Chucky doll, as seen in the TV series "Chucky" but in reality, Chucky doesn't exist. There is actually a real doll that is demonic, and it is known as the Annabelle Doll. Come with me as I delve into the haunting mystery of the real Annabelle Doll.

The original Annabelle doll is a Raggedy Ann doll that is said to be possessed by a demonic spirit. It is currently kept in a glass case at the Warrens’ Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, where it is considered one of the most haunted objects in the world.

The story of the Annabelle doll began in 1970, when a young nurse named Donna received it as a birthday gift from her mother. Donna lived in an apartment with her roommate Angie, and they soon noticed that the doll seemed to move by itself. They would find it in different positions and rooms, and sometimes they would find notes written by the doll, saying “Help us” or “Help Lou” (Lou was Angie’s fiancé).

They thought it was a prank at first, but then they contacted a medium, who told them that the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a seven-year-old girl named Annabelle Higgins, who had died on the property. The medium said that Annabelle wanted to stay with them and be loved. Donna and Angie felt sorry for the girl and agreed to let her stay.

However, things got worse after that. The doll became more aggressive and violent, especially towards Lou, who did not like the doll and wanted to get rid of it. One night, Lou woke up from a nightmare and felt a choking sensation. He saw the doll on his chest, trying to strangle him. He managed to throw it off, but then he saw seven claw marks on his chest, which disappeared after two days.

Another time, Lou and Angie heard noises coming from Donna’s room, where the doll was kept. They thought someone had broken in, so Lou went to check. He saw the doll on the floor, and as he approached it, he felt a sharp pain in his chest. He lifted his shirt and saw a bloody wound as if someone had stabbed him with a knife. He also saw the doll laughing at him.

Donna and Angie realized that the doll was not a friendly spirit but a malevolent entity. They contacted a priest, who referred them to the famous paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Warrens examined the doll and the apartment and concluded that the doll was not possessed by a human spirit but by a demonic one. They said that the demon was using the doll as a conduit to manipulate and harm the people around it and that its ultimate goal was to possess a human host.

The Warrens performed a blessing on the apartment and took the doll with them. They placed it in a bag and drove away, but they experienced some strange phenomena on the way, such as the car’s brakes failing and the doll moving inside the bag. They managed to reach their home, where they put the doll in a glass case with a cross and a sign saying "Warning: Positively Do Not Open".

Since then, the doll has remained in the Warrens’ Occult Museum, where it is said to still exhibit paranormal activity. The Warrens claim that the doll has caused several accidents and deaths to those who have mocked or challenged it. They also say that the doll needs a weekly blessing from a priest to keep it under control.

The Annabelle doll has inspired several movies, such as The Conjuring, Annabelle, and Annabelle: Creation, based on the Warrens’ cases. However, the movies have changed many details of the original story, such as the appearance and origin of the doll. The real Annabelle doll is still a Raggedy Ann doll, not a porcelain one, and it was not made by a dollmaker who lost his daughter, nor was it cursed by a satanic cult.

The real Annabelle doll is a mystery that has fascinated and terrified many people for decades. It is a reminder that not all dolls are innocent and harmless, and that some of them may hide a dark and evil secret.
