Is This Not Daylight Robbery By The United Kingdom? by MT: 5:14pm On Jan 26 |
Britain brought war to Africa and looted our cultural heritage, which they auctioned in the UK and displayed in their various museums, raking in millions in pounds sterling over the years. They did this to the Benin Empire and Ashanti in Ghana. After the King of Ashantis requested for all of their artifacts to be returned, UK said there was an existing laws which forbids permanent return of Artifacts, and instead would loan back those "stolen" artifacts to Ghana over some period. UK said if the Ashantis do not return the artifacts back after some time, they would not loan them further stolen artifacts in their custody. What do you honestly make of this? How do you loan back pieces of artifacts, which UK recognised was stolen but hide under the law to refuse to return it back permanently to the rightful owners, rather choose to "LOAN" them back to the rightful owners? What would you guys say if any African country has acted in this shameful way ?. Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-68066877 1 Like 1 Share |

Their cunning nature is legendary. How is it plausible loaning someone his own property with terms and conditions? |
