CONTEXT

When i opened my cowrywise account about 2-3 years ago, i used one of my brother's name as a next of kin and then in the email address field for the next of kin i used my alternate email address. However after comparing the rates with that of Piggyvest, I chose to forgo my cowrywise account. So at no point in time did i ever put any money in the time and after receiving a bunch of marketing emails from them i ended up deleting the account about 2 years ago.

Fast forward to today,I recieved an email at my alternate email address(which was supposed to be the email adress of my next of kin) informing me that i was registered as a next of kin for my cowrywise.
This move struck me as shady and unethical as I no longer have an account with them and this move was solely self-serving as a way to drum up business for a company that i never did any business with.


Nigerian businesses need to start behaving themselves, you can't position yourself as a company that people should trust their savings with and resort to underhanded tactics like this.
