Viper attack helicopters? Why not Apache instead, each unit of Apache cost about $50m, getting 12 at about 600m dollars would have been a good one along with some MQ reaper drones to complement the fight against crimes. |

Most of the arms and ammunition will be sold to the bokobandits by their military collaborators, to continue the carnage on innocent civilians. Nigeria is gradually drifting to a failed state. |

Ofodirinwa: And make the American weapon company richer and happier while Nigerian gov' kill more people through the stupid fuccccks(security personnel) just to justify their salaries. Cos, the loan won't just go away, we would need more loans to build after decimating the non state actors. The next loan will be shared and stolen. Such a pathetic system. đŸ˜“ |

Winnin009:The risk of losing them in an ambush is quite high. Secondly, it is primarily an attack helicopter not cargo. I am not saying, it isn't one of the best copters out there. But our primary security challenge are forest-based, mobile and move in large groups. I think mobile threats are best tackled with drones with surveillance and attack capabilities. And given our meagre resources,I am not sure it is the best investment. Perhaps, the military decision makers has a very good reason for their choice. |

[quote author=flokii post=128241312]Victory at last.. May the Almighty God continue to bless, guide and protect our Armed Forces. Amen. 2024 is the year that Nigeria will defeat terrorism in all its forms, Excuse me I beg to differ here,if I may why the jubilation ? The terrorist people them are in the corridor of government incase you missed it. Government that failed to provide infrastructures l,social amenities etc instead they all deep their ten fingers & toes in the cookie jar. No consequences for bad behaviour, impunity left right & centre. If our government people them really care for the citizenry like other clime do there won't be need wasting 1 billion dollars over insecurity.
