Drones can’t be used to deliver human cargo. And this copters are literally one of the most dangerous and most effective in the world. It’s weapons system is only bested by the Apache. And it’s an all terrain machine too.

The risk of losing them in an ambush is quite high.
Secondly, it is primarily an attack helicopter not cargo.
I am not saying, it isn't one of the best copters out there.

But our primary security challenge are forest-based, mobile and move in large groups.
I think mobile threats are best tackled with drones with surveillance and attack capabilities.

And given our meagre resources,I am not sure it is the best investment.

Perhaps, the military decision makers has a very good reason for their choice.
