They should just convert dom accounts into Naira. What are you doing with a domiciliary account if you are not involved in international trade….you are simply buying forex creating scarcity.

It will be unpopular among the elite but it needs to be done. They are the ones killing the dollar.

Let him try it and see things get worse for the Naira and the price of things due to drastically reduced imports of raw materials, machines etc.

After converting the domiciliary account balances into Naira, why would anyone bring in fresh foreign currency into the country

Under PBATs watch the Naira (N) has become the worst currency in Africa and the third worst currency in the whole world just behind Lebanese Dollars & Argentinas Peso.

Baba should take this a very big challenge to repair the economy.

He said he wanted to float the Naira. But the naira has not even started floating in the air, yet Nigerians have already started crying.

He knew better than all the past presidents before him na.

We warned them against electing and vouching for old men that needs rest.

It's not just EFCC, what about the Inspector General of Police? Inviting both would be apt. The connection between EFCC and the issues with Naira and dollars is unclear. Alternatively, remitting funds collected from Yahoo Yahoo boys could be considered as a solution. 😂

Nice move. Everything is not about monetary policies. Sometimes, crude tactics are more effective. Those behind the forex are not playing by the CBN. CBN should also go out of its way to deal with them. Desperate times require desperate measures.

The problem of the black man is selfishness. Nigerians think of themselves first and care less about the collective state of the nation.

The president is the least problem of Nigeria.
Nigerians are bad and wicked.

A lot of shady dealings by private sectors, high placed individuals and even ordinary people without name.

A reasearch revealed that Nigerian paracetamol is only about 200mg instead of 500mg. The rest is chalk. Nigerians pay China and others to produce substandard goods including drugs for their fellow Nigerians. Oyinbos are wicked but will never do things at the detriment of their country or people.

Part of the demonic attitude of Nigerians is being happy and praying for the country to fail because your preferred candidate isn't in power.
You deserve what you get for being wicked people.

Why will a bank allow someone to have a domiciliary account without a foreign source where the income is coming from.

^^^
There are several individuals in this country who have never been in government and who have never won a government contract. They do not know any big men in government and have never had anything to do with illegally acquired government money.

These people opened domiciliary accounts and saved small amounts of foreign exchange in these accounts, sometimes for decades, slowly building up their balances. They should not be made to pay a price for the criminal behaviour of Nigeria's political and business elite. These people are not the problem.

I don't know what you're expecting to hear but my ranting is in response to the hoarding of naira spearheaded by the commercial banks. And the way people go around being happy and celebrating the fall of naira. Something that is killing you. I can't comprehend it. I am out of the county, earning in hard currency and I'm not happy about the state of naira whereas people within the country are celebrating it and still wishing it continues because of bragging right.

It's beyond my understanding. As we support Obi and e no win, na to burn the country? Tufiakwa!

With due respect, think before you comment. 1. Who are the people with Dom accounts?
2: disporans do not send dollars to Nigeria to remain dollars. There is a Naira purpose for every dollar sent home.

The dollars you see in dom accounts are the elite buying dollars they do not need.

The $30b sitting in dom accounts are owned by no more than 1m people, 98% of which are well off. They don’t keep the money in dom accounts to do business but to preserve their wealth.
