Take PG serious at your own peril, they cook fake news like Aba-made. It is only in Nigeria that the children of top dogs in public office are expected to be stagnated in their career because their parents are heads of certain institutions. Backward mentality.

You re very right. The poster shoot himself when he said that the chief justice daughter was appointed to magistrate court in 2020 when her father wasn't a CJN. In Igbo adage, of your goat bears 2 or more kids, you have no other option than to collect them. That is a luck

Did you read the article or u are just been intentionally dumb? Oyo already has two slots filled while ebonyi has none. The man intentionally denied ebonyi and created a third slot for Oyo just to put his daughter, secondly the daughter is a junior magistrate with only 3 yrs when the minimum requirement is 7yrs.

Put your daughter if u want but Don't take another state slot. Ebonyi and Delta have zero while Oyo has two already. Sack one from Oyo and replace with your daughter not that you would deny a particular region what is due them

sensational headline.....if the daughter is qualified then she can be appointed a judge....if she's not qualified then that becomes corruption.

Are you saying an adult should put her career on hold because her father is the Chief Justice of Nigeria?
Re: CJN Ariwoola Appoints Daughter As Judge, After Appointing Son & Nephew - Gazette by Ironbull: 2:37pm On Feb 05
The question here is that his daughter or whatever a lawyer and qualified to be a judge or is that his daughter a qualified mechanical or civil Engineer to warrant all these nonsense talks?

So because her dad is CJN she should be deny the right to be a judge or what?

Mary Odilli family did it the noise filled everywhere for no reason absolutely no reason. I don't care who becomes a judge in as far he or she is qualified.

Horrible precedence
It is the way they've always played the game na...
Justice Odili's (herself nominated to the Supreme court by President Jonathan in 2011) daughters (2) were both appointed as Federal and State judges respectively.
Ditto Justice Bulkachuwa's (Court of Appeal president) daughter too.
In that list secretly sworn in by Buhari, at least 17 of the new judges are either children or relatives of former or serving senior judges, according to findings released last year by the Open Bar Initiative, a judicial reform think-tank based in Abuja.
So, my fellow countryman, no be today.

That your father is a chief judge should not ruin your own chance of becoming a judge. If they are QUALIFIED, it is not a big deal.

I'm not dumb n stupid like u, it's because u are stupid that's y u don't know how things go over here, nepotism and tribalism thrives in Nigeria. Why should I bother myself over what won't change. Complain till u die, idiot.
Re: CJN Ariwoola Appoints Daughter As Judge, After Appointing Son & Nephew - Gazette by lozanni(m): 3:31pm On Feb 05
The Act governing the National Judicial Council(NJC) should urgently be reviewed as this is the body regulating the appointment, discipline and promotion of Judges in the country; it is therefore puzzling that the Chief Justice of the Federation (CJN) who is a Judicial officer himself, should be the head of the NJC.

The above scenerio is like giving a hungary man a knife and placing him beside a low hanging coconut tree and later blaming him for helping himself to some fresh juicy nuts from among them.

Many Nigerians who are grumbling about the above nepotistic appointments will do worse if they are in the CJN's shoes; so the the law governing the NJC needs to be changed, asap, to prevent such unmerited appointments in the future.
