Jay z calls out Grammy & throws shade at nominees

A lot of fans were shocked when Jay-Z spoke up at the Grammys, emphasizing an ongoing problem the Recording Academy consistently overlooking his wife, Beyoncé. In his Sunday speech, he not only voiced his frustration but also brought attention to the broader issue of inadequate recognition for Black artists in the esteemed award show. An erringly similar speech to what his former close friend, Kanye West, once said on the MTV stage.

In the controversial speech, he stated: "We love y'all, we love y'all, we want you to get it right. At least get it close to right. I don't want to embarrass this young lady [addressing Beyoncé), but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work."

He then went on to throw shade at some of the other Grammy nominees, stating that some of them don't belong in the Grammy category. The crowd was shocked.

Killer Mike secured a triumphant Grammy night, winning three awards in the pre-show ceremony and beating some of the biggest names in the industry, i.e., Drake, Future, 21 Savage, etc.

Despite his success, a video surfaced on Twitter, showing him being escorted by police in handcuffs around 4:22 p.m. PT. His victories included best rap song and best rap performance for "Scientists & Engineers" and best rap album for "Michael." The rapper later faced arrest for misdemeanour battery but was released, confirmed by his lawyer, who mentioned he would continue celebrating his successful sweep.
