Burob: I'm talking about the President calling for a national consensus via national election, you are talking national assembly. Is this a joke? It may interest you to know that the powers of the national assembly ultimately reside in the collectivity of the nationwide constituents who conferred on them in the first place. A matter as delicate as rewriting the structure and form of the federation, and how the new structure will be constituted, cannot be left for the NASS |

But this doesn't address the main issues of f the power sector. It's same IOC issues with host communities that will be replicated here. Also basing the percentage on OPEX makes no sense, as this doesn't factor the profitability of the genco, just eating deep into the running cost burden in the face of operational bottlenecks which will eventually be cascaded to the end consumers. What he is signing if it won't give us 24/7 electricity, then they should throw the bill out of the window because from what I read is it nothing like that. 1 Like |

Misplaced priority Nigerians need steady power supply all this yeye bills without steady power flow is rubbish I remember when Obasanjo visited Japan and was inviting Nigerians in Japan to come and invest in Nigeria they boldly told him to fix our power grid first he don't need to invite them.. One problem with the politicians of this country is they will leave the malaria that the country is suffering from and be treating leg pains nawa for una ooo 1 Like |

I expect a bill on autonomy for state to generate electricity , this is like adding zero and zero together and at the same time enriching some people's pocket. Same old wine is the same old bottle. Nonsense! 1 Like |

These people are just not serious or smart. Privatize the electricity system with real international professional companies like was done for the mobile network. All the corrupt former and present politicians and crooks trying to manage electrical companies will keep Nigeria in darkness for the next 100 years. For things to work in this country privatize almost everything to REAL companies that have a profit motive to do things first class by international standards. |
