During the opening ceremony of a faculty of law at a private university in Kano, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, seized the opportunity to address pertinent national issues, directing his message to First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.


In a candid exchange, the Emir urged Mrs. Tinubu to relay critical concerns regarding hunger, starvation, and insecurity to her husband, President Bola Tinubu.


Acknowledging the multitude of channels available for communicating with the government, the Emir emphasized the unique influence and access Mrs. Tinubu possesses as the First Lady.


He underscored the urgency of addressing the escalating levels of hunger and starvation across the nation, stressing that while the issue predates the current administration, its severity demands immediate attention.


"The prevalence of hunger and starvation in our country requires urgent intervention," the Emir conveyed through an interpreter, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
