Meanwhile, Sowore has described the prayer as a waste of time, insisting that what they were planning to do would not change anything.

Some Nigerian youths have declared a national prayer against the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmoud Yakubu for allegedly rigging the 2023 presidential election.

Titled: "Nigerian Youths National Prayer Day, 25 February 2024, Curse Be Unto Mahmoud Yakubu," the youths claimed that Yakubu's cash-and-carry 2023 presidential election was reason for the current hardship Nigerians were going through because of the anti-people's policies of President Bola Tinubu's administration.

In a poster shared on X (formerly Twitter) by #RevolutionNow activist and presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), in the 2023 general elections, Omoyele Sowore, the youths accused the INEC chairman of selling the presidential election to the highest bidder.

The poster reads: "INEC chairman who sold elections to the highest bidder. He rigged the elections that brought Bola Ahmed Tinubu to power Muslims, Christians, Traditionalist, Aithist we gather swear for INEC Chairman."

Meanwhile, Sowore has described the prayer as a waste of time, insisting that what they were planning to do would not change anything.

He advised that if the youths who wanted to embarked on escapades were desirous of change of the situation in the country, they should engage in a mass action that would lead to a revolution that would liberate them.

He wrote: "Curses on @inecnigeria Chairman won’t and don’t work, don’t waste your time as “youths” embarking on these embarrassing escapades of actions that have zero impact.

"If you want to change your situation, GIDDY UP, #TaKEITBACK! Engage in mass action! #RevolutionNow," he said.

Nigeria youths in that category should please shut up and allow the country to breath!
A lot of them just came into politics and when we told them Nigeria is not kenya they called us names. The ruling party used you lots to rob this country and they will do it again because a lot of you refused to learn.

Tomorrow they will position one Agbado for one corner and you all will forget your sorrows.

Prayer against Yakubu my anus!
Medicine after death!

This is a silly waste of time and energy.

What Nigerians need to organize for, is to start lynchinp INEC officials who refuse to go by the letters of the law guiding our elections.

By the time about 500 INEC officials are b*tchered nationwide, the remaining ones will have no choice than to behave themselves and abide the Electoral Act and Election Guidelines.

These guys are mad, and only proportionate madness will cure them; not curses.

Curses never work.

If curses worked, Buhari won’t be breathing in and out today.

If curses worked, Tinubu and his won’t be alive while while Herbert Wigwe and his family will die in air crash.

If curses worked, Justice Tsammani’s Requiem would have been sang a long time ago.

I won’t waste my time cursing anybody.

When Nigerians are ready to cure the madness of the vultures who think themselves invisible, let me know so I’ll come out.

Until then, Awalokan 😏

Forget Sowore. What else can powerless youths do? Attack him physically? Sack him? A curse of a genuinely affected youth might enter. After all Mahmoud Yakubu is not a saint. Mass action that they will politicize and tribalize. LOL.

cheesy
That they even thought and believed curses work just shows how dumb they are

These ones would even make poor leaders of tomorrow as they would rather tell the citizens to pray for miracles instead of taking practical steps to approach issues

Na oppositions dem be.. I wasnt expecting them to be brighr anyway and they just proved me right by believing curses work
