The SAM 2 missile is also a medium-range air defense missile for medium and high altitudes, and it had the lion's share (43%) of the destruction of Israeli aircraft during the 1973 October War.
On the other hand, Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, said that US President Joe Biden gave the green light to Netanyahu to begin the large-scale military operation in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. Barghouti considered that “what is happening against the Palestinians is a major crime that will not stop except by imposing sanctions and boycotting this criminal entity.” He said, “We are living in a difficult situation. Yesterday, Western countries warned of the consequences of an Israeli military operation in Rafah, but they stopped at this point,” adding that if they had been sincere in their call, they would have immediately requested a Security Council resolution to cease fire in Gaza.
