But I can get a brand new 250 gig HDD, 2g ram for the same price so why buy a second hand one for that amount?! Abi na the size of the hard drive and 1 extra gig of ram be the issue?!

You are getting it wrong.
The brand new of the above mentioned laptop goes for 78k.
So selling it for 52k, mint laptop and uk used is cheap for that price.
Can sell the same type of laptop for you with 160gb hard disk 2gb ram for 45k last.
Size of hard disk and ram decides the price of laptops.
