A Sports Administrator, Mr Ibikunle Haruna has underscored the importance of sports to promote unity and enhance healthy living.

Mr Haruna who is the chairman of 2024 annual inter house sports competition of Methodist primary School Sawonjo Yewa North Ogun state, made this known while addressing the people.

Mr Haruna who said sports has taken a good shape all over the world added that if well taken care of, it is a means of developing our socio economic life.

In a remark, the Olu of Sawonjo, oba Michael Ayinde Oderinde enjoined the people to unite together and come to the aid of the school as well as the construction of roads linking the town to the neighboring community like Igan okoto and Igbogila.

In her vote of thanks, the headmistress of Methodist primary school Sawonjo Mrs Adebesin Adejoke thanked the people for their support and promised to keep the flag of the school flying always.

Six Houses made the contest with Idowu Rotimi house, Oderinde house and Asogba house emerged joint first, while Mulero house, Euro base house and Four junction house taking the second position.
