Ajimobi that didn't touch it

Akala started it and that's why the layman name people call it is "Akala Express"

You are correct...the road started with Late Alao Kala...Ajimobi also worked on it though.

Governance is multifaceted. Nothing stops the government from doing both. I think anything that would also benefit the populace and not just the politicians should be welcomed.

You dey mind the mumu, nor be road food follow from farms to the market and then to the home of people

The editing on these photos is much. I just hope Seyi Makinde is not doing propaganda cause I saw a beautiful interchange on federal road credited to him. The Oyo people here should tell us if these are as good as they appear

No lie in the images shared. The interchange you were referring is even more beautiful when you see it life, its along Lagos/IB express before you get to guru. I expect a frontier of rapid development in that area, the signs are there, you'd notice companies here and there around that area.

The odo-ona I road I passed it when I travelled to Ibadan via train and boarded a cab from the Omi-Adio train station to Challenge.

Sorry, am not bitter but not self-centered like you.
Keep praising wrong government deception because
you are benefitting from the corrupt
system. What was the volume of traffic on that road that would
call for further dualization? You care less even if the entire Oyo
state eats grass as long as the government is in construction
Ghost Super Highway.Shame on you and those supporting
the wrong policies. From the time of Akala, they have been constructing
roads while Ibadan residents are becoming poorer.

You definitely don't know what you are talking about, a road that pass though areas that is heavily built up that trasverse so many big communities should remain one -way as it was when the entire area was just forest.
More than 80% of Akala express of today was mainly thick bush there about 16 years ago, the road Akala Akala constructed then opened up that part of Ibadan to development as it today.

shallow minded ppl cannot govern, a good government must also be futuristic, if our leaders are futuristic in most of their governance the youth of today would not be suffering today.

You are far less informed and carried away by peanuts. Your people are hungry and you are reconstructing roads that stood the test of time.
It's an unreasonable person who would use all his money to buy a car without thinking of house rent and feeding.
Its quite clear that you are a paid agent

It was Ladoja that started the project but Akala got the glory when they removed Ladoja as governor but thier was a case related to CofO of one building on the road after Kuola building that make Akala not to completed the project and it was at court all through Ajimobi era.. So reason seyi completed the road was they have settled the house that caused delayed.. The road is not new project aside from kuola end to Apata that Seyi completed.. most road in Ibadan need serious attention Seyi should serious with governance.. only around that axis Aiyegun Oleyo road bad, Academy road bad, Elebu road worst etc and many other major road in the city need serious intervention.

Concerning your last paragraph, the only solution is to create Ibadan state ......its not easy to govern oyo state.

Ibadan has been lagging behind lagos because she has many other urban areas sharing her resources

You think with your stomach or you are a baby propagandist

So because people are hungry, ministry of works, health, education etc should stop functioning.

Following your logic,No roads should have be constructed since Obasanjo era

That's Akala express way, constructed by Alao Akala...Ajimobi also touched it...I don't think patching up a few bad spots and drawing road markings make him "the best governor ever in Oyo state"

Kudos to them all.

it's a waste of time exchanging words with someone that thinks all govt needs to do is to be paying feeding money to its citizens rather than creating enabling environment that opens up more opportunities and in return provide jobs for the ppl.

I cease to respond any further hereon

I think you and your cohort seem to lack comprehension and how to argue logically. Your government is engaging in a reconstruction, not construction as you and your corrupt fellow think. In Maslow pyramid of needs, what comes first? You simply don't know anything and the government at all levels will keep building and reconstructing roads in the next 100 years while ordinary man cannot eat. Is road the only infrastructure or are there no roads at all and you guys are building new roads to open up villages? Has the citizenry ever been fed by your corrupt government? Quite funny how one government will come around and reconstruct a road by an inch extension and shallow-minded corrupt individuals are celebrating this as a great achievement amid famine

Pls leave the core North out of it, they surpassed any part of Nigeria interns of Road infrastructure, they might be backward in certain aspect but they re far ahead in roads.

In fact certain people who does not want to admit that their leaders re failure always claimed that those infrastructures in the north re federal project which in not true.

Ibadan has been lagging behind lagos because she has many other urban areas sharing her resources
But the government will go the hinterland of the state to collect tax . Creating state not only solution because most of the existing state cant even survive without federal allocation.
