Someone promised to change Nigeria from a consuming nation to a producing nation but Nigerians looked away.

And that same person doesn’t have a single production company in Nigeria. Moreover, he’s about the single highest importer of finished products into the economy.

Nigerian did the wise thing by looking away.

That can never be realized.

. That so called person was unable to change his state from over dependence on FG allocation in 8yrs and can't even add to revenue of his state in 8yrs ...

Promise most times are future impossible tense ...

Don't be ignorant. I don't tout PO to be a saint but he is far better than BAT. Tinubu floating the naira was due to the ill advise he received from the IMF. The man is bereft of sound ideas and relies heavily on trial and error. His so called manifesto was a hoax to goad sentimentalists like yourself into supporting him. And now rather than criticize him for the failure he is, y'all still dragging out PO like he's the one in charge. SMH

Things will get worse because politicians are still looting massively. They won't stop until the whole system collapses. We are heading towards Venezuela. So, get ready. I keep telling everyone. Go and learn how to garden and produce food for yourself.

All regions will agree to part in peace. So, relax and enjoy the show. Nigeria is over.

There is nothing anyone can do because these people are looting. Nigeria will get better when people who decide to save Nigeria start spending their personal money to rule Nigeria. There will be nothing left to loot. Each state will cater for itself.

When did he suggest it?

RepoMan007:
Tinubu equally suggested printing of money to Buhari so what's the point trying to blame someone who did what you advised his Oga?

This political persecution and not normal government process.

Is it overnight consumption to production will happen? Don't let anybody bobo you, Nigeria cannot be fixed overnight. So many things have gone wrong in Nigeria. To put Nigeria on the right track, our institutions need to be strengthen, massive public orientation, police brutality must be dealt with, grave consequence for corruption. It's even better every region should go their own separate ways and develop at their pace.

Stop lying!

Nigeria printed out about 10 per cent of its GDP, and the UK printed out 30 per cent of its GDP. The United States printed out about 22 per cent of its GDP.

All this money was printed because of the COVID-19 global shutdown. no one was buying crude oil and the price of crude fell to $-38 for a few hours. Nigeria had to print money like every other nation on earth. the government is looking for a scapegoat and is starting to sound foolish.

It's one thing to make noise, it another thing to follow the noise with action.
Nigeria is beyond what someone will just talk about changing things. We as a people must also change out attitudes. We still have a very long way regardless of who the leader is.

Ways and means we're one of the ways subsidy was funded under bubu

See the article here https://guardian.ng/sunday-magazine/newsfeature/reflections-on-fuel-subsidy-regime/

Very informative. Ways and means makes an appearance in one of the paragraphs

Note that I don't deny government printed money. It's one of the ways they messed up our economy, but it is not the major route they paid for subsidy.

I don't appreciate being called a liar by the way.

23trillion? That is huge.
huge is relative. In terms of our GDP only 10 percent was printed. The UK printed out 20% of its GDP in response to COVID-19 yet the pound isn’t falling against the naira. The US printed out 22% of its GDP and the dollar isn’t falling against the naira.

All countries printed out money in response to the global shutdown. There was no movement so countries were not buying crude oil. Nigeria needed to pay its civil servants to ensure that money trickled down to everyone else. That money had to be printed and nations all across the world took similar actions. Why Nigerians are suffering is because Tinubu has refused to raise the minimum wage. Raising the minimum wage will cause the further devaluation of the Naira. This is a necessary evil to reduce the pain of the nation. Tinubu needs to raise taxes on the rich and reduce government spending. He is not interested in doing this as it will affect the elite. Tinubu prefers to punish the masses for the sins of the elite. TINUBU IS THE MOST WICKED PRESIDENT NIGERIA HAS EVER HAD.

Sorry for my rude comment.

My main point is that the government is lying to Nigerians by claiming that the devaluation of the naira is as a result of the money printed by the CBN. If Nigeria’s economy wasn’t already terrible before COVID, the money printed would have had no effect on the value of the naira.

No, it started in the year 1973, initially as a temporary measure , then as a permanent fixture
