Residents of communities along Ojere- Oba road in Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun state have appealed to relevant authorities to find lasting solution to the perennial flood affecting the area.

The people who made the appeal in an interview with Journalists in Abeokuta said the flood had remained a night for the residents in the area whenever it rained.

A civil servant, Mr Ajala Sheriff who described the productive hours being wasted on the road as unfortunate, identified lack of drainage channel as the major challenge affecting the area.

Mr Sheriff appealed to the lawmaker representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/Odeda in the Nigeria House of Representatives, Mr Olumide Osoba to use his influence to urgently address the problem in the interest of the people of the area.

Also, the chairman, Abule Ake Community, Mr Habeeb Adenariwo who said the deplorable situation of the road especially when it rained remained impassable, called on the present administration in the state to rehabilitate the road to alleviate their sufferings.

Contributing, The CDC Chairman, Mr Olanrewaju Ojetola implored the director of Ogun State Road Maintenance Agency, OGROMA, to fulfill his promise to rehabilitate the road before the rainy season.
