Please Suspend The Planned Nationwide Protest - DSS Tells NLC The Department of State Services (DSS) has appealed to the Nigerian Labor Congress to avert its planned two-day protest, scheduled for February 27 and 28, due to the prevailing economic difficulties, as it has information that some elements were planning using the protest to cause widespread violence. In a statement signed by its Public Director, Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Peter Afunanya, the DSS said the planned protest is a legitimate right of the labor movement but, however, urged the body to shelve the plan in the interest of peace and public order...
