Some people leave in deceit and hypocrisy, believing that they are the smartest. They are prevailing because we the Africans do not make good use of our brain.
During the administration of president Jonathan a litre of fuel was N200, abag of rice N27,000, naira exchange was N270 to a dollar . And we were outcry that things were too expensive, claiming that the inflation is too high.
Personalities like Prof Wole Soyinka, pastor Adeboye, pastor Tunde Bakari , Falana etc jump to the street and led strong protest against Jonathan's administration

Today fuel is N1000 per litre, abag of rice is N75000 dollar is almost N2000 but we are been told that things are cheapest in Nigeria than any other country of Africa .WHY DID YOU PEOPLE DEMONSTRATED IN 2014 ?, BECAUSE JONATHAN IS NOT FROM YOUR TRIBE. TRIBAL BIGOTS.

A bag of rice was ₦8500-₦9000 in 2014 and not 27,000

Stop lying. Fuel was N87 per litre. It was during Buhari's time that fuel climbed to N145 per litre and later N187 per litre

A bag of rice was about N5,000

Igbos knew GEJ was head and shoulders above Buhari and Tinubu when it comes to management of resources. GEJ was blessed with solid people like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Peter Obi, Arunma Oteh and the rest.

Igbos knew Yorubas and Fulanis will ruin the economy and that is what is currently happening

y

Imma going to tell you a secret....most Nigerians have always lived in poverty since 1960. Also, the protests happened in 2011/12, Not 2014.
Under GEJ, a lot of Nigerians lived in poverty...hence the protests when he (rightly and sensibly in my opinion, because there were many good reasons why), tried to remove subsidy on fuel completeley

There have always been grumbles and complaints any time fuel price was increased.

During the administration of president Jonathan a litre of fuel was N200, abag of rice N27,000, naira exchange was N270 to a dollar . And we were outcry that things were too expensive, claiming that the inflation is too high

1.Fuel at the start of the GEJ admin was N65, then it was raised to N140 as at 2011 DEC, but then protests happened...and fuel went down to N97.,,and to N87.

Because subsidy was not covering the resulting loss, expecially as landing cost rose from N99 in 2012 Jan to N132 by October 2015...a lot of stations were selling well above the offical price by 2013.

2.RIce was 27000....MEANWHILE...Minimum wage was N18000. Meaning your mininum wage could not buy a bag of rice.

3 OIl prices between 2008-14 ranged between 91-145 dollars per barrel. That meant enough dollars to buffer the naira that low.
We had the same situation between 1973-82, when oil prices were so high, one naira was equal to one dollar because dollars dey to buffer naira. PLus in 2005/6 debt was forgiven for the most part.

Personalities like Prof Wole Soyinka, pastor Adeboye, pastor Tunde Bakari , Falana etc jump to the street and led strong protest against Jonathan's administration

Yes, because at the end, most people opposed the fuel price increase. THEY WERE WRONG....because at the end, the subsidy removal was needed then.

Aren't people protesting now, or did the protests in some parts of the country recently, was it for fun? Didn't people shout 'We are hungry' at TInubu's convoy recently? Was ENDSARS for fun?
