Unpaid Gratuity For Edo State Workers Since 2012:Oshiomhole To Blame or Obaseki? by imagrg(m): 11:35pm On Feb 23
It's true that Oshiomhole paid gratuity to some retired workers in Edo State and later suspended payments indefinitely owing to the closure of Edo State Pensions Board till the end of his tenure in office for no justifiable reason.

Governor Obaseki, the incumbent governor, reopened the Edo State Pensions Board and since then had been battling with financial challenges which has been hindering continuation of the payment of gratuity for Edo State workers since 2012.
But to be fair to Governor Obaseki, he has been consistently paying salaries and pensions to workers and retirees in Edo State. Cudos to him on that ground though, but what we are saying is that, will this backlog of gratuity ever be paid?
Suffice to say that I am personally affected too.
