You sanction the rogue nations, then you discovered you are actually the one at the receiving end , you lift sanctions out of shame to save your face then tag it humanitarian ground.

If you are wise, you will know Tinubu is doing the right thing. Lifting the ban is the best thing now

uote author=Justnation post=128627302]What a shame that tinubu has carried his woeful leadership to Ecowas.

Acting foolishly before thinking

He is steadily turning Nigerian and now Ecowas to a laughing stock [/quote]

Will this make the trio come back? I doubt. And even if they do, does it mean the coup leaders will be accepted as legitimate? So why all the initial show of unnecessary force? Smh

Thoe guys are not even interested again and they have moved on. Bad market for ECOWAS

Na the thing

And if them, whether sanction or no sanction, they should maintain status quo and never return to Ecowas. They should form a sahel coalition that promotes their own interests since they're all alike and suffers the same thing.

ECOWAS saving face claiming they are lifting sanctions on humanitarian ground.

Truth is, the three countries eyes don open.

They have realized the bondage they were being under France.

The carrot from Russia though a poisoned chalice is tantalizing.

That's a brilliant move. It's the stuff of what international negotiations skills should be about. De-escalation is not weakness.

The next point is to REVERT to democracy as soon as possible for the benefit of all and work together on ways to jointly deal ruthlessly with the Islamist insurgency affecting major areas of the West African Sahel and the climate change issues leading to the constant criminal herders attacks on hard-working farmers.

Kudos to ECOWAS.

So pe o tilo. I read recently that they're forming a tri-state. Apparently ecowas has no power to sanction again. You can't sanction a non-member. Lifting of the ban is of no effect
