The National Security Adviser (NSA) has reportedly summoned Jim Obazee, the Special Investigator appointed by President Bola Tinubu to probe the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele. Earlier reports highlighted claims of witch-hunting, extortion and undue intimidation by Obazee’s team, even after his mandated tenure had expired. President Tinubu appointed Obazee as a special investigator of the CBN under Emefiele through a letter dated July 28, 2023. Obazee and his team submitted their report, accusing the former CBN governor of misappropriating funds through contract scams and other fraudulent activities.
