The Police have discovered 350 AK-47 ammunition and arrested four suspects in a poultry farm along Sabon-Wuse-Garam road in Tafa LGA of Niger State.

City & Crime reports that the road leads to Bwari town in the Federal Capital territory.

A vigilante told our reporter that four suspects, the farm manager, two other staff and a visitor, were arrested during the operation.

He said it was not clear whether the ammunition were linked to the banditry in the area or were billed for transportation to another location.

When contacted, the police spokesman in the state, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, said he would give an update on the issue.

Tips to stay safe in volatile times as this:

Keep a low profile especially if you're popular on social media and street.

Be a master of disguise. Dress to cover your unclothedness and not to impress. Do not be unnecessarily flashy. You fit enter their eyes. You know the rest.

Except when it's inevitable, do not travel by road.

Always tell at least one trusted person where you're going per time.

Do not look for people's trouble unnecessarily.

No threaten anybody and don't ever downplay threats from people. Report to police ASAP.

You fit add your own.
Stay safe folks.

I'm not surprised because high level of poverty will automatically lead to criminalities. This is what Nigeria leaders don't understand.

Our leaders are very heartless

And you show us the back of a policeman because it happened in the North abi?

If it were to be in the South East, Nairaland would have been flooded with pictures of the perpetrators, the village head, youth leader, vigilante commanders with dead bodies of the perpetrators littered here and there.

No name of those arrested, no pictures either.

Mekuna continue.

See the large number of ammunition in public space so why won't banditry and other social instability thrive?

Do you think this is the work of some poor uneducated dudes or farm workers?
Nah this is but a cell of a sophisticated criminal ring.
Only thing is that will the authorities do the needful and expose their overlords and ringleaders, this I doubt
From a cursory online search, one AK47 goes for averagely $800 new and $500 used which gives a financial outlay of $175,000 TO 280,000 at a minimum for this discovery.
Multiply that by 1700 Naira if interested.

What is the custom services doing if 350 guns can be discovered in a single place? I am sure that is sufficient to cause havoc in a state simultaneously before the government will respond.
