obembet: According to the report, they'll be scrapped. Only Consular services and vaccinations will be taken care of by FG henceforth. That should fall under the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health. |

Pension Transitional Agency should not be scrapped. Ministry of finance can never attend efficiently to the several complaints of pensioners the way PTAD is currently doing. Bureaucracy would mar and frustrate the whole process. It's like taking one step forward and taking two steps back. |

Massiveglory: White paper is different from implementation. White paper is language used for review of a report to make it better. Implementation is carrying out what was agreed on it a final report |

Re: Details Of Orosanye Report Implementation by benuejosh: 10:56am On Feb 27 |
rollywise:What the previous government did was to issue a whitepaper only. the directive now is to implement the report. if it was carried out in 2011 during president Jonathan why didn't he implement it. some of you read without understanding or researching. This is now a clear directive to implement the report and not issuing a white paper again. |
Re: Details Of Orosanye Report Implementation by benuejosh: 11:01am On Feb 27 |
Massiveglory:Must you insult. It should be a shame for Jonathan for not being able to implement a report of 2011. He had four years to do it before a new government. But you lots who are hell bent on seeing Nigeria fail are still attacking the current government who has given a clear directive to implement it and work has already started. it is you who should be ashamed of disgracing your entire household and village community by thinking you're smart by less than a quarter inch. |

InfoGuru118: Thank God the useless 2 of them all will be abolished: "The committee suggested that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria and the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission be abolished, with the government focusing solely on offering consular services and vaccinations to prospective pilgrims." Of what benefit is those two in National Development in the first place? |

Re: Details Of Orosanye Report Implementation by Ekaka14: 2:19pm On Feb 27 |
InfoGuru118: Good try but this is still too much and still too too top heavy. We don't need most of these Ministeries....same goes for the National Assembly...chaseout all those deadwoods and clean up the two houses that has become a fashion fare and avenue for sharing the national cake to a few miscreants in the corridor of power. Otherwise completely scrap the system and return to regional governance with strong regions with accountability and a weak centre only for administrative purposes. You will find nobody will want to become honorable in the centre again because no bogus allowances and fat estacodes etc "The 800-page report advocated reducing the number of statutory entities from 263 to 161, eliminating 38, combining 52, and restoring 14 to departments in separate ministries." |
